In its bid to raise the level of service and increase customer loyalty, the client decided to develop an official mobile app. The main goal of the app is to ensure quick and easy communication between a driver and the club's support service. In addition, they planned to add many useful driver features to the app. So the company recruited IntexSoft to handle this project.

Tasks and Solution

The IntexSoft team developed the app for iOS and Android platforms.

One of the main tasks that our specialists had to do was to set up a search for gas stations. It enables the user to see the details of the nearest gas stations: address, distance, fuel types, and working hours.

IntexSoft specialists customized a routing feature: a user can specify the starting and ending points of his trip, and the app will show the optimal route on the map. To ensure correct map integration, we developed separate modules for iOS and Android.

Another challenge was to configure voice navigation. The team was able to configure this feature such that when a route is requested, the Google Maps service shows a route with waypoints in text format. Then, using system frameworks, the route is voiced out.

One more task was to set up an evacuator call within the app. Our team implemented this function. And the user only needs to press the button to make a call. We also set up another way of communication: via the mobile app, a user can send a request, and the evacuation service will receive it with information about the user’s geolocation and contact information.

The IntexSoft team developed the app for offline use. To update the information in the app, we used a third-party service through which information is stored in the database on the device.

To ensure convenience of usage, we added push notifications feature to the app.

Transparency & Methodology

Throughout the development process, the IntexSoft team used an iterative approach. Our specialists carried out tasks in parallel with continuous analysis of the results obtained, and corrections to the previous working stages. At the end of each iteration, IntexSoft developers demonstrated the project to the client, and discussed the necessary edits and innovations to implement.
